The first Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) Training of Trainers in Ethiopia was conducted by Coady International Institute in partnership with the Organization for Women in Self Employment (WISE) from February 15-26, 2016. The training was financially supported by the Canadian government as part of the EMPOWER, Empowering Mutual Partnership for Women’s Economic Resilience project and by Comart Foundation. Some organizations self- sponsored their staff members as well.

WISE Delivered training to Ethiopian female food security heroes

WISE in collaboration with Sustainable Environment & Development Action (SEDA), Oxfam America and Ministry of Agriculture delivered Entrepreneurship, Life skills and Leadership training for 10 Ethiopian female food security heroes for five full days. Derartu Tulu, the first black African woman to win gold medal in Olympics and Hamelmal Abate, a legendary Ethiopian artist were present during the graduation ceremony.
